MCP

VS Code

Add Webforgia to VS Code's MCP support, with your key kept in a prompted input rather than the file.

Setup

  1. Open the Command Palette and run “MCP: Add Server”.
  2. Choose HTTP, then paste the server URL.
.vscode/mcp.json
{
  "servers": {
    "webforgia": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://webforgia.com/api/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${input:webforgia-key}"
      }
    }
  },
  "inputs": [
    {
      "id": "webforgia-key",
      "type": "promptString",
      "description": "Webforgia API key",
      "password": true
    }
  ]
}

VS Code asks for the key the first time the server starts and keeps it out of the file, so the file is safe to commit.
