Getting Started

Create Your First Project

A worked example: a website for a fictional barber shop, from prompt to published page.

1. The prompt

In the dashboard, with Website selected, type:

“A website for Fade & Co, a barber shop in Leeds. Walk-ins welcome, appointments online. Show prices for cuts, beard trims and hot-towel shaves, opening hours, and a gallery. Friendly but sharp — black, white and brass.”

It names the business, the audience, the one action that matters (book), the content (prices, hours, gallery) and a tone. That is most of what a good first build needs.

2. Plan or build

The composer opens in Plan. Use it if you are unsure — ask “what pages should this have?” and Webforgia replies with a plan you can adjust. When it looks right, choose Build it. If you already know what you want, switch to Build and send.

3. The intake questions

For a first website, Webforgia may ask a few multiple-choice questions — for example the overall style, or whether to show prices as a table or as cards. Your choices are added to the request. Skip builds with sensible defaults.

4. Watch it build

The builder opens and shows each stage — planning, generating, auditing, repairing, photographs — as it runs. When it finishes, the preview shows the site; switch devices to check it on a phone. See Build Generation.

5. Refine

  • Type “make the hero a split layout with the gallery photo on the right”.
  • Type / and pick Add Social Proof to add reviews.
  • Click the prices section in the preview and edit a price directly in the inspector — instant, and free.

Every change can be undone. See Editing Projects.

6. Connect and publish

Add a booking connector so “Book now” opens your real calendar, then press Publish. The site is live at a webforgia.com address; connect your own domain under Custom Domains.
