Domain Issues
DNS, verification and certificates — the usual reasons a custom domain is not working yet.
Stuck on Pending verification
- The record is not there yet. DNS can take from minutes to a few hours to update. Press Verify again later.
- The record is wrong. It must be a CNAME pointing to
cname.webforgia.com, on the name before your domain (www). - Two records for the same name. Delete any older A, AAAA or CNAME record for that name.
- It is a root domain. yourbrand.com cannot take a CNAME — use ALIAS, ANAME or a flattened record. See DNS Setup.
DNS ready · awaiting certificate
The record is correct and the certificate is being issued. It normally completes on its own; give it a little time.
Active, but the wrong site shows
The domain is pointed at another project. Change it in Settings → Domains — you will be asked to confirm, because the live site at that address changes at once.
I cannot add or change a domain
Only workspace owners and admins can. Other members can see the domains but not change them.
